A.L.A.N.'s objective is to support animal friendly candidates who seek policy-making positions in government, and then pursue the opportunities that these successful endorsements present for passage of animal protective legislation through the legislative process.

General Elections - November 7, 2006:
A.L.A.N. 2006 Endorsements
Humane voters should be glad to hear that with the exception of the of a few races, the work we did before the election and at the polls in June guarantees that where it was possible, we have animal friendly candidates going to Sacramento.

It is still important to vote, but most of our candidates who are still in the race are in “safe” districts and will be elected if we will just vote.  They do not need money at this point, they do not need work in their campaigns, but voters must get to the polls and vote.
